“Anyway, you’re already dead. You look like someone already dead. Someone dead a hundred years.”
“Dying’s a scandal. But we all do it.”
“I really think he’s a terrific actor. He’s extremely inventive. He surprised me every day on ‘Cosmopolis’ with the nuances and things that he did which were unexpected. Of course I was very familiar with the dialogue and yet he would surprise me.” - David Cronenberg about Robert Pattinson

“I wanted you to save me.” - Benno
“You look gorgeous today.”
Luke Goodsell: “There’s a really magic shot in the film — perhaps my favorite moment in his performance, also — when he’s stumbling down the alley with the gun, and he’s looking for Paul Giamatti, and there’s this particular look that comes over his face in that one moment and you can see his derangement. It was really wonderfully played.
David Cronenberg: “Yeah, it was beautiful. It was the only take that Rob did exactly that on, and I thought, Well that’s the take. It was unexpected. I mean, Rob was constantly surprising me, I have to tell you, with things like that. Lovely, lovely things that were spontaneous but dead-on.”

‘This mesmerizing mind-bender ought to prove two things: (1) Robert Pattinson really can act; (2) Director David Cronenberg never runs from a challenge. Pattinson stars as Eric Packer, a master of the universe at 28 but still helpless to stop his financial world from collapsing as he rides around Manhattan in a white stretch limo. Destination: haircut.
In this fever dream of a movie, Pattinson is incendiary, notably in a climactic gun scene with the great Giamatti. Cosmopolis, demanding as it is daring, is no easy ride. I mean that as high praise.’

‘Cosmopolis’: Cronenberg’s Complex, Confounding Masterpiece
Glenn Kenny, Special to MSN Movies
“Cosmopolis” is almost certainly some kind of masterpiece, but I have to admit it’s probably not for everyone. Writer-director David Cronenberg’s adaptation of Don DeLillo’s 2003 novel is a formally exquisite exercise in tension — intellectual, emotional, and if you’re on the squeamish side, likely physical — that very deliberately withholds the very sort of release that 99 percent of other motion pictures are engineered to deliver. So it is perhaps fitting that the movie’s subject is, ahem, a member of the 1 percent, as they call it: Eric Packer, whom you could have called obscenely rich with impunity back before rich people themselves learned to play the victim card. Young Eric is in need of a haircut, and he wants his stretch limo to take him across town for one. “Cosmopolis” is the story of how he gets half a haircut.
“Cosmopolis” offers no way out from not just the doom that is inevitable for all of us but also for the doom we will ourselves into every day. But what it does is make you look at the world differently when you come out of the theater (and that’s what all the best Cronenberg work does). What you do after that is up to you.

Cronenberg and Rob was awesome as usual, they have such a unique relationship.
I liked the interviewer, he was funny and intelligent, it’s just he should have avoid certain topics…
